Baker Hill Golf Club
Host Site of the 2015 New England Amateur Championship
WAGR Counting Event: The World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR), which comprises a women’s ranking and a men’s ranking for elite amateur players, is offered by The R&A and the USGA as a global service to golf. WAGR is updated every Wednesday on www.wagr.com and is available to national federations and organizers of amateur and professional events and tours for purposes of offering exemptions, selecting national teams and assembling Orders of Merit. WAGR currently incorporates over 4,000 events with over 10,000 players and endeavors to be the most comprehensive and accurate ranking in golf by effectively comparing players from around the world who may never directly compete against one another.
Entries are open to amateur golfers who hold membership in a club belonging to one of the six New England State Golf Associations and have an up-to-date USGA/GHIN Handicap Index not exceeding 5.4.
Each State Association may use a limit of less than 5.4 if the number of applicants exceeds that State’s number of allotted entries.
All New England competitors must register online for the New England Amateur Championship. Players selected to compete will be notified via email after entries close.
Online registration will go live in February.
Technical questions or issues pertaining to the online registration process can be directed to Kevin Eldridge (Efirstname.lastname@example.org; P: 774-430-9103).
Any questions or concerns about eligibility, handicap status/index or the competitor selection process should be directed to a competitor's home state association office. Please note that each state association shall determine which entries it shall accept, up to and including the number allotted to it as outlined in the Conditions and Regulations.
